Forevers: Let’s celebrate & deepen our forever friendships

We bet you have a “forever” or two in your life. These are the friends who you feel connected to on the deepest levels, who you feel you were destined to meet. They’re the ones you can’t imagine life without, who you will keep choosing over and over again. They’re the ones you like waking up to text or sitting on the couch in your sweatpants just as much as you like going out on adventures together. They may sometimes have the intimacy of a romance or the ties of a sibling — but they’re something wholly different.

They’re your anam cara, your chosen family, your person, your BFF. They’re your forever.

In a society that has plenty of rituals and traditions to honor our love and commitment to spouses and family, we’re here to help people affirm and celebrate their deepest friendships.

We want to help you develop tools to bring more intention to your time with friends no matter what else is going on in your lives. We want to encourage you and your friends to express affection for one another in creative, authentic ways. We want to foster conversations that help you deepen intimacy, tackle challenges, and envision what “forever” looks like together. The Friends Behind Forevers

We hit it off during a prospective student overnight at American University — and the very next day, both sent in our deposits, confident we’d found our people. Thanks to this mirrored decision, we ended up as dorm room neighbors and forever friends. (It truly feels like a miracle we ever met.) Although Sam currently resides in Brooklyn and Erin in Raleigh, NC, we remain huge parts of each other’s daily lives and long-term plans.

Erin on Sam:

Sam has been the coolest person I’ve known ever since I spotted her embroidered jeans from across the room on the day we met. She is a talented artist whose dedication to her practice and deep creative brain constantly inspires me — our collaborations always make me feel more capable in my own creative abilities. She never shies from exploring new corners of herself, so has also jumped into being an illustrious writer, a gifted TTRPG gamemaster, my ice dye partner in crime, and a creative business consultant with ease. With her confidence and strong-willed nature, she pushes me and those around her to be unafraid of showing up as their full selves and standing up for the life and world they want to be living in.

Sam on Erin:

Erin is a wellspring of generous creativity who never stops seeking new sources of inspiration and finding ways to bring her latest (and my latest) visions to life. A superb writer and editor, her work has appeared on Skillshare, Fast Company, Business Insider, and many other publications that I can’t share here because she also happens to be a ghostwriter extraordinaire. Whether she is gluing mirror-ball snakes to a medusa costume, collaging a tarot deck from public domain images,ice-dyeing a hundred pairs of jeans, or building a mini-piano to display flowers at a museum, Erin tackles projects with a one-two-punch of efficiency and zeal that leaves me dazzled. Top that all off with a disarming warmth and sparkling sense of humor, and you’ve got my wonderful, one-of-a-kind Erin.
